Finally, Something That Sticks to the Plot (LWA Episode 6 Review)

This was a rather emotional kind of episode for Akko, at least it was at the end.

It kind of ruined my expectations, though this is a good thing. Akko sought to find the Fountain of Polaris in an attempt to have her “true potential” revealed to her.

Thank goodness this didn’t actually happen. It would’ve really given everything away, and it would’ve made the whole “human trying to learn magic” thing extremely pointless if she had found her “true potential”.

But due to her lack of maturity the fountain had actually given her a blueprint to follow rather than this supposed gift that Akko was trying to find. It had shown her flashbacks of Chariot’s days at Luna Nova where she had also screwed up a lot at learning magic.

This gave Akko a chance to learn that even her idol had trouble learning magic, yet she was still successful with it in the end because she’d tried her hardest and believed in herself, thus making her mature enough to go to the Fountain of Polaris and learn her potential. That was the only thing Akko couldn’t really get a grip on.

I think this whole experience she had also shown Akko that she needs to take her time instead of trying to prove herself to everyone else. If she were to just focus on herself and learn these things as much as she can, she could possibly become a great witch. “Believing in yourself” isn’t necessarily the only thing you need to do wondrous things. Hard work and studying yourself also ties into that.

Well, that’s all of my thoughts for this episode. Thanks for reading!! When you can, please be sure to check out my website at https://www.itsananimething.com
